China Society for Trenchless Technology (abbreviated as CSTT) was founded in 1998, as well as one of the 27 Affiliated societies of International Society for Trenchless Technology(ISTT). Currently, the organization is supervised by Beijing Exploration Engineering Institute, Ministry of Land and Resources, RPC.
 
CSTT is the only nationwide no-profit organization related to trenchless technology in China and supported the establishment of provincial Societies for Trenchless Technology in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong province. CSTT has always focused on promoting science and practice of trenchless technology in China, industry specifications and standards formulation and revision, enhancing international cooperation to promote industry continuous development.
 
By the end of 2016, CSTT owns 115 exclusive members, including 5 individual members, which are constituted from contactors, constructors, equipment manufacturers, consulting companies, research institutions.
